My car (VW Polo) is making an aircraft engine noise as I accelerate – continuous . Any ideas what it is?

New tyre recently, new wheel bearings in both front wheels. Especially loud between 50-70 mph

If you mean a continuous whine then it could be gearbox or differential. Ask whoever changed the wheel bearings.

  2. Harry o

could be a hole in your exhaust

  3. BARRY B

Sounds like exhaust leak. Ask kwik fit guys to check it. Watch them like a hawk when they do. But it is probably a leaky joint or a hole.

Could be caused by low flying – slow down !
