Does it work with the key? If so, the battery is shot in your keyless.

*****I have had similar issues with my Jetta. The service manual is very helpful in these matters as the electrical system is quite complicated. First, check all the fuses. Then make sure you’ve checked the fuses on the battery block as well. I recently pulled out my fuse panel to find the relay panel hidden behind that inside the dash. It also contained a couple of fuses that are relevant to the alarm and locking system. Finally, the relays themselves may be an option, but I know of no way to test a relay.
    GOOD LUCK!
I love my Jetta, but it is really a pain to work on. Also very expensive!

It could be as simple as a fuse or relay but for proper diagnostics you need to check the module for diagnostic trouble codes & go from there. It’s all computer controled. I’m assuming you don’t have a VAG-COM or a factory VW/Audi scantool. So it’s off to a good VW shop or the dealer. Good luck.

check the control unit under the front passenger carpet. the control unit sits in line with the pollen filter housing which are notorious for water getting under the the seal, then in turn water runs down the bulkhead into the well where the unit sits.check the carpet and feel for any dampness

Start by checking all fuses and relays not just to see if fuse has blown that the fuses have no oxidisation and are you sure there is no power to the pump double check
